In this photo, I had to be 4 or 5 playing with my mom @pleasuremabel at Rum Boogie Cafe in Memphis. “Knock on Wood” by Eddie Floyd was the song. The house band was lead by Don McMinn, Memphis blues guitarist. He would host a weekly open mic jam and this night my dad would setup my red JR Kit and my #nuvader cymbals. We finished and I had my piña colada with extra maraschino cherries, the spam of fruit. This moment happened a few weeks after winning that pictured #tama hinged hihat stand won at a #chesterthompson clinic.
